Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Karen Pedevillano
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Karen Pedevillano, a City of Poughkeepsie native, completed her Bachelor's degree in Animal Bioscience at Penn State University in 2010. She began a career as a Zookeeper at the Central Park Zoo in Manhattan before heading to vet school a few years later. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and completed her clinical training at Michigan State University. She first practiced in Toledo, Ohio before returning home to the Hudson Valley, and taking over the practice from her long-time mentor, the original owner, Dr. Louise-Anne Morin in 2024. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, behavior, pain management and geriatric care. She is also a consulting veterinarian for The Trevor Zoo in Millbrook, NY.
Dr. Pedevillano and her husband, Chuck Cerbini, the Curator of Ornithology at the Bronx Zoo, keep busy with their three children and many pets, including Scout the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Leela the one-eyed Pitbull and Figaro the tuxedo cat. When she is not working, "Dr. P" can be found hiking in the woods, at her kids' many sporting events, and cheering on the New York Yankees.
